hi, David! I was expecting to hear from you yesterday with the answers, and may be even that list of the local sponsors of those shows. But I have been known to lose emails. So did you send the answers and the list? If you did, will you please send them to me again? The question of is there a policy of providing upon request the contact information of the local sponsor /producer of a show on B-TV seems like a simple yes Or no question. But I have been asking for weeks. Of course if there still remains such a policy [or is it a law or rule or whatever?], I would want to know what it is. And if there is not such a policy any more, I would want to know what
happened to it… And when and why it was dropped and by who.
moreover, we still have on the table unanswered this: Is it true that an “imported” show/series [not produced by a Berkeley resident] still is required to be sponsored by a Berkeley resident? Is there any limit on how many shows one Berkeley resident can sponsor at one time?
I hope I just lost your email with the answers… Because it is important for B-TV/BCM, as a local public organization and channel, to be transparent and responsive to us residents of Berkeley.
Hey, I just did a great show about public access! And I am now getting a lawyer to come on the show to examine the legal aspects of the issues!

it was a very effective, inspiring show last night with you! We talk the same language and from the similar experiential history. Here is what my students [who are coming to your yard sale Saturday] wrote:
“Soon we were handing over the stream, and the show was starting. Right away, we were blown away at the fact that Frank had this person on his show! “Up there” … It was that sense of those “6 degrees of separation” suddenly being collapsed into none, and being face to face with history that we have seen/read so much about, in such an immediate and personal way. Judy Gumbo Albert had not only lived through the late 60s and 70s as a “Yippie”, right alongside Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, and the others, but she now lived in Berkeley, and had a perspective on life and history that felt so much like ours … we were blown away at her stories … we really experienced too what Linda said afterward about feeling like “coming home” when you meet and talk to someone like Judy. And then there was the level of being able to put out a conversation like this into the world, to put these realities and this view of history out there, where there is so much misunderstanding, intentional misrepresentation of the history and the historical figures, like Leary, Hoffman, Rubin, etc… was amazing. This is the show that BTV would like to squeeze out! ”
I am looking forward to doing it again!
Btw, both Paul Krassner and John Sinclair endorsed me when I ran for president.
Hey, Paul! Judy ratted you out about performing in Berkeley! Next time let me know and we will come.
Absolutely!
I think it would be nice if everyone got their fair share.

Hi Frank & Linda,
Yes we have the same issue with adult content that for Manhattan has to be played after 11pm. I wonder what Manhattan Neighborhood Network will say if anything about our Frank Moore intro – I guess some of the images are borderline!
Yesterday I turned the Frank Moore episodes in and they are scheduled to cablecast in Manhattan the next four Wednesday’s at 10:30pm on Manhattan Neighborhood Network on Channel 34
August 5, 12, 19, 26
The great thing is that the shows also stream live
On left column, find Watch MNN live and click link for Channel 34.
You need Windows Media Player installed.
All for now.

well legally, according to the FCC rules, “adult content” can be played after ten pm. and legally local public access channels can not modify that. I had a year fight with first the Berkeley community Media and then the city council over that a few years back. First the board of directors tried to slip a rule that “adult content” [my show and Suzy Block’s show which I sponsor] must air after two a.m . but they reversed themselves when I showed up at the board meeting with a network television news crew! But then the city council got into the act and wanted to pushed us to after midnight [really most of them wanted to pushed us off the air but could not legally do that]. See http://www.eroplay.com/fmup2005/archive/censorship.html for a history of the fight. It was up hill all the way! They wanted a Frank Moore law! But they finally caved in!
what is ok in the day on the channel is very subjective, Depending on who is in charge. Like there was a punk /heavy metal cooking show in the middle of the day. Basically the guy had a bunch of his buddies over to his apartment for a back yard bar-b-q. They would get drunk as he cooked… Getting really baked! You can imagine the language! And the babes kept flashing their tits. All in the afternoon. A fun show! But if I did that in the middle of the afternoon…

As I told Corey, I can happily answer questions regarding the scheduling of your own programs submitted (such as when it will run, when can I pick up my DVDs, etc). All other questions regarding programming and policies are handled by my supervisors (including the executive director). I will always forward emails to them. And of course, they will respond in a timely manner.
On a side note, I do want to say thanks for your inquires. Your feedback is important and I appreciate your interest in Channel 28. I just can’t answer the questions you are asking. That is not in my job description. But I am making sure they go to the appropriate personnel and you will hear from them with an answer(s).
Good luck with your episode on public access! You have every right to say what you’d like on Channel 28. Just be careful with the adult content if you want to air it before 10pm.
Best,
Arielle
Hi, David! is there a policy of providing upon request the contact information of the local
sponsor /producer of a show on B-TV? when will you provide us with the contact information of the local sponsor producer of those shows Corey ask you about? I’m eager to get the information . Is it true that an “imported” show/series [not produced by a Berkeley resident] still is required to be sponsored by a Berkeley resident? Is there any limit on how
many shows one Berkeley resident can sponsor at one time?
of course I have more questions. But these are a start!
