Extraction

Frank,

I must tell you that in some way there was an immediate reaction with our relationship after your show. The next day it became evident how much we were locked in destructive patterns and old self/other images. We became more concerned with the image of a relationship than the actual connection between us, our hearts, our minds, and the work of being together and sharing an experience. We broke up for 2 days. Kelly released her attachment, her neediness and was finally able to see me as a friend. My temper and anger has waned down to nothing. I feel it directly in my heart now and I can not possibly just give it. In one sense, I died. It died. And that which is said to come with near death experience, that is, having to feel that which you have caused or created or judged in others, came to me, and I took on elements of Kelly that I had judged over our entire friendship/relationship. That lasted for about a day and I was able to Love. Currently, Kelly is dying. Self or egoistic death is painful because it releases all the pain that we’ve rejected in ourselves and in others and have tried to displace on to others. That fine line between friendship and total commitment with attachment to the image of relationship, the expectations, the desire to change someone, that fine line is the one we are walking. And, of course, we have to change or else wallow in our misery. But the paradox is that you can not try to change anything in order to experience that change.

Furthermore, we recently had a big frustration with Imra and the way that is has, lately, been sort of ignored by our audience. This led to the realization that it became consumed by images that we projected from desires to be a certain type of band. The reason people aren’t listening is the same reason that we’re more known for our solo work: the soul. The image of our band, Imra, has been consumed and the soul was replaced by images. Our solo work is totally soul based. And now we starting fresh with everything. Its beautiful.

So I have to thank you for your extraction.

Sean, this means a lot to me! I am glad the show affected you two deeply. Seems like what you are trying to communicate through the band is spiritual love. This is best channeled through your personal relationship of you two and then through the music, sexy uplifting… And more sneaky! That’s the key!

And how about your radio show for LUVER?

and say hi to your Mom for me!

Re: A FIRST! (Gi Dussault)

obviously she doesn’t know how life works!

Funny. Last week’s band was also “difficult” before the show. But they stayed. They just wrote to me, saying how the show [especially the interview] made them change the band radically
and also their relationship to each other… And thanked me. So they liked the challenge! But that could only happen because they stayed!

Re: A FIRST! (Jesse Beagle)

WEIRD~~~~~~~~~~~gauche, rude, the way the hip-hopper hip-hopped with her gang to the waiting cars, did they leave with the silverware? Someone must have snitched and told them the secret about Shaman’s Den, where the guests are boiled slowly in a large pot and served up for dinner, ten minutes extra boiling for the tough gristle of hip hoppers.

RE: Polyamory: The Next Sexual Revolution (Susan Block) II

I loved STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND. Of course, sexual monogamy isn’t natural for humans or most other mammals. And it’s not only men who enjoy multiple partners. It’s just that for thousands of years, men and other women have severely punished women who “stray,” so we mainly keep it on the QT. But the times are a’changing, the pussycat is out of the bag, and more and more men are acknowledging how turned on they get from their wives being with other partners, partly due to a phenomenon of evolutionary biology which I wrote about it in SPERM WARS: http://drsusanblockinstitute.com/sperm-wars
