Hey Frank, wow, you are a super busy guy! Haha, your description reminds me of my own experience coming back from near-death of septic shock in ’06, how the doctors in every specialty, nurses and various and sundry physical therapists were lined up to poke me and make me do delightfully painful things. Well, it sounds like your peeps are doing their job and you are doing your job of getting better and better every day. I understand its time-consuming, but thanks for remembering my caller who complained that his wheelchair held him back from finding love. You are a shining example of how to turn all kinds of crazy adversity into love, love and more love… So… Enjoy that drink 🙂

Ah, Suzy! My email backlog is down to 180!
People don’t like to hear their problems /issues aren’t special /unique! Crips are more obvious. Crips don’t like me telling them that why they can’t get a girl /guy ain’t because they are crips [which they were told], but most of the time because they don’t come to the relationship as an equal Player, upholding their part of the relationship. I always go out to people, communicating I want to play with them. Like most crips’ communication boards face the crip. My board faces the other person, making it easier for the other to read. I’m actively available. I always find an in to a person. I enjoy life /people. That attracts people. I’m willing to get hurt and keep risking. Getting hurt is part of the process of getting what you want. Of course there are assholes and bigots out there [but most people aren’t assholes or bigots]. But when they reveal themselves, I just move on, thankful for saving time /energy. Hey, I don’t want to fuck them!
I actively meet the other’s wants /needs. I expect the other to do the same… And I let the other meet my wants /needs [it took years for me to figure they want /need this]. I don’t go into a relationship with agendas, goals or pictures.
Well, this is how to get and keep relationships!

we went to the doctor’s today. She ok’d the start of the process of the removing of the trach .
But the big news…. On our walk back to the car, we stopped in at Mokka [the great Cafe where the guys got their coffee during my hospital stay… We kept saying just wait until I am eating again!] I suggested we could drop in there! I ate a bowl of raspberry sorbet! yum! I had no problem. First time eating in a restaurant since the hospitalization. It’s a big day around here!

And thank YOU Frank, for keeping yourself going, which keeps all the rest of us going… I hope you got my messages about how we talked about your courage, creativity and determination on my show every Saturday night while you were in the hospital. On one show, this caller was complaining that he could never get women because he was paraplegic, and I really let him have it, told him he was hiding under his wheelchair and to go directly to your websites for inspiration on how to be a friggin’ Rock n Roll Sex God surrounding by groupies and hot women, no matter what your so-called disabilities.
WE LOVE YOU, FRANK!
And we love you, Linda and Mikey and all the doctors and nurses who helped pull Frank through…

Ah, yes, Suzy… I have been working up to replying to your great email. I want to talk about why people [crips and otherwise] can’t get /hold on to relationships. But I have been facing over a thousand email backlog… I have chipped it down to three hundred! But I am just regaining my typing speed. I’m also learning to eat and drink by mouth… And figuring out times in the day to do so. Then there are the doctor appointments. And until last week there has been a stream of visiting nurses, and physical /occupational /swallowing
therapists coming to the house. Today the swallowing and the occupational therapists came. Basically they don’t want to stop coming because it makes their day… So they are fighting to be able to keep coming.
Oh, I have to drink now!
