i am currently working on a large-scale multi-media, guerilla-style performance poetry project in SF. use the identity themes of race and sexuality specifically to challenge organizations and institutions that are working against us. some of it is illegal, and you shouldn’t trouble yourself with such naughty activity, but if you’re interested in learning more about this adventure, as i am interested in knowing more about your vision, we could make a deal
your ero play sounds wonderful. unfortunately, during the next show on 8/22, i’ll be on a flight to portland. can we please find the time to get together before or after the show? i’m a good old fashioned brain picker – persistent, energetic, and funky. hope to hear from you soon.

sure, we can pick each other’s brains. But I am booked up until after the performance. I am available usually week nights [Tuesday – Friday]… But we will need to set it up because I get booked.

great idea, Champ! We did a similar thing here in the nineties when we were doing a our zine, THE CHerotic [r] EVOLUTIONARY. We called it DIGGERS UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION EXCHANGE [D. U. D. E.]. we were taking our stuff around to stores. So why not take other people’s stuff around too… For free? It was popular.
Tell your bands to send their cds to luver!
Looking forward to playing with you tonight on the show!

We organize an interactive mystery tour of the Bay Area called the Travelling Clubhouse, where we lead people through a day’s exploration of spontaneous community and creativity. We would love to bring our group to Reality Playings on Sat, August 22nd, and we have two questions
1) Since we will be approximately 20 people, do we need to make a reservation to ensure there’s space for everyone?
2) We usually give our participants creative challenges throughout the day. In the past this has involved writing limericks, reciting 6-word memoirs, karoake competitions, learning circus skills, and sidewalk chalk drawings. Do you have a suggestion for a creative challenge that would tie in to or help us prepare for your event? We are up for stretching peoples’ expectations and don’t mind making a public spectacle of ourselves.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Great fun concept, nicole and charlie! People need playing adventures! If you get to the performance by eight, you will get in. Btw, it is a three hour performance. It is fun… And definitely stretches expectations!
now for the creative challenge… Go for dinner before coming to the performance at a Cafe. Before getting to the Cafe randomly pair the twenty… And they should feed each other the whole dinner!
I am looking forward to you coming to the performance!
Frankie,
We all want to be loved for who we are. Right?
I’m a freak and want to be loved in part for it.

mmmmm, when people say they love me, I get nervous because when a lot of people say that, shit is about to happen, a dear John letter is in the mail, etc! Love is over rated. Give me respect, loyalty, reliable and responsible and available!

Yes you are very perverted indeed.
That’s part of why I love you.

hi, David! I was expecting to hear from you yesterday with the answers, and may be even that list of the local sponsors of those shows. But I have been known to lose emails. So did you send the answers and the list? If you did, will you please send them to me again? The question of is there a policy of providing upon request the contact information of the local sponsor /producer of a show on B-TV seems like a simple yes Or no question. But I have been asking for weeks. Of course if there still remains such a policy [or is it a law or rule or whatever?], I would want to know what it is. And if there is not such a policy any more, I would want to know what
happened to it… And when and why it was dropped and by who.
moreover, we still have on the table unanswered this: Is it true that an “imported” show/series [not produced by a Berkeley resident] still is required to be sponsored by a Berkeley resident? Is there any limit on how many shows one Berkeley resident can sponsor at one time?
I hope I just lost your email with the answers… Because it is important for B-TV/BCM, as a local public organization and channel, to be transparent and responsive to us residents of Berkeley.
Hey, I just did a great show about public access! And I am now getting a lawyer to come on the show to examine the legal aspects of the issues!

it was a very effective, inspiring show last night with you! We talk the same language and from the similar experiential history. Here is what my students [who are coming to your yard sale Saturday] wrote:
“Soon we were handing over the stream, and the show was starting. Right away, we were blown away at the fact that Frank had this person on his show! “Up there” … It was that sense of those “6 degrees of separation” suddenly being collapsed into none, and being face to face with history that we have seen/read so much about, in such an immediate and personal way. Judy Gumbo Albert had not only lived through the late 60s and 70s as a “Yippie”, right alongside Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, and the others, but she now lived in Berkeley, and had a perspective on life and history that felt so much like ours … we were blown away at her stories … we really experienced too what Linda said afterward about feeling like “coming home” when you meet and talk to someone like Judy. And then there was the level of being able to put out a conversation like this into the world, to put these realities and this view of history out there, where there is so much misunderstanding, intentional misrepresentation of the history and the historical figures, like Leary, Hoffman, Rubin, etc… was amazing. This is the show that BTV would like to squeeze out! ”
I am looking forward to doing it again!
Btw, both Paul Krassner and John Sinclair endorsed me when I ran for president.
Hey, Paul! Judy ratted you out about performing in Berkeley! Next time let me know and we will come.
Absolutely!
I think it would be nice if everyone got their fair share.
Pablo
